Judge Robin B. Stilwell is from Greenville, South Carolina. He is a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1989, and received his JD from the University of South Carolina in 1993. Judge Stilwell was elected to the Circuit Court in 2009 and has served continuously since.

Judge Stilwell is also an Infantry officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He has deployed to Afghanistan and to Kosovo and has earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and Bronze Star Medal, among other awards.  He received a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College in 2016.

Judge Stilwell is married to Charlotte Whelan Stilwell of Greenville, South Carolina.  He has three children:  Charlotte Elizabeth (Eli), Dorothy Scarborough (Dee), and Joseph Whelan.
