Cherokee County is located in Upstate South Carolina, in a prime location just off I-85, half way between Charlotte, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina. It is only 45 miles from two major airports: Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Greenville – Spartanburg International Airport.

Gaffney, the county seat, is the largest city in the county and Blacksburg is the second largest. Cherokee County has a diversified industrial base and offers a wide variety of employment opportunities.

Cherokee County is well known for its shopping options including Hamrick’s and the factory outlet mall, both located on I-85.
