Between Columbia, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina via I-77, Fairfield County is conveniently located for industrial and residential growth.

Fairfield County is in the Old English District of South Carolina and is rich with history. From the longest continuously running town clock in the United States to over 100 historic buildings, churches and homes, the county has many attractions. One popular destination is the South Carolina Railroad Museum. It has a large collection of trains and on special occasions offers train rides.

With its rolling hills and fertile valleys, Fairfield County is known for its “pines, ponds and pastures” and as a place for people to enjoy living in a serene country atmosphere. Fairfield County is also know for its Winnsboro blue granite, “The Silk of the Trade”, which has been used worldwide in buildings and monuments.

With Lake Wateree on the eastern side and Lake Monticello on the western side, Fairfield County has over 20,000 surface acres of fishing, boating and wildlife habitat. Together with the lakes, and deer and turkeys in abundance, Fairfield County is a dream come true for the sportsperson.
