Williamsburg County (population-40,000) is located between historical Charleston (82 miles) and Florence (40 miles). History also comes alive in the central town of Kingstree at the Annual Pig Pickin’ Festival, King’s Tea, Black River Festival and the King’ Tree Trials.

The Williamsburg County Library has two convenient locations in downtown Kingstree and Hemingway. Williamsburg Technical College is located in Kingstree along with several primary and secondary schools.

Williamsburg County, also known as “Sportsman’s Paradise”, is home to some of the best duck and deer hunting. Redbreast and bass practically jump into your boat as you navigate the scenic Black River. Canoeing and kayaking are used to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Black River.
