RE: Rescission of Expungement Order
ORDER
I FIND THAT Act No. 36 of 2009 set forth specific procedures for expungement of criminal records statewide, thereby nullifying the need for the previous Order of the Chief Justice outlining expungement procedures statewide.
Therefore, pursuant to Article V, Section 4, South Carolina Constitution,
IT IS ORDERED that the Order of the Chief Justice dated December 20, 2005, setting forth procedures for the expungement of criminal records statewide, is hereby rescinded.
