Judge Green was appointed Probate Judge of Bamberg County by Governor Richard Riley to a term beginning June 15, 1984. She was elected at a special election July 31, 1984, and re- elected November 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000.

Born in Bamberg County, Bamberg, South Carolina October 29, 1937 to Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Allen Hand. Judge Green has two sons, Craig and Chris Threatt and two grandchildren, Lauren and Richard.

Educated at Lander College 1956-1958. Judge Green is a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, South Carolina Association of Probate Judges and the Charles Pinckney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Judge Green enjoys dancing, yard work and shopping.
