Branna Williams was born and raised in Barnwell County.  She is a 1989 graduate of Barnwell High School and a 1993 graduate of College of Charleston with a degree on history. She was appointed Probate Judge for Barnwell County in July, 2001 by Governor Hodges to fill an unexpired term.  In November of 2002, she was elected to a four year term beginning January 1, 2003.  She is married to Daniel W. Williams.  They have one son, Thomas.
