Travis W. Moore is Judge of Probate, Greenwood County, having previously been a partner in the law firm of Callison, Dorn, Thomason, Knott & Moore, P.A., in Greenwood. Judge Moore was elected as Greenwood Probate Judge in November 2010.

Judge Moore was born in Greenwood, South Carolina, in 1967, and has been a lifelong resident. Upon graduation from Greenwood High School (1986), he graduated from Anderson College (A.A.) in 1988 where he served as Student Body President. He graduated from Furman University (B.A.) in 1990 and the University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D.) in 1994. He was admitted to the SC Bar later that same year.

Upon graduation from Law School in 1994, Judge Moore practiced law with the Watson Law Firm in Greenwood until December of 2000. He joined the Callison, Dorn, Thomason & Knott, P.A. law firm in 2001 and was named partner in 2006. In addition to the South Carolina Bar, he is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court.

Judge Moore has served as President of the South Carolina Association of Probate Judges (SCAPJ), 2020-2021 and has served as Treasurer of the SCAPJ from 2014 – 2018. Judge Moore also served on the South Carolina Probate Judges Advisory Committee.   He is also a member of the National College of Probate Judges.

Judge Moore has served two terms as Deacon at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, including Chairman of the Diaconate.   He has also served on the Board of Directors for the First Baptist Church Foundation.  He has also been involved with many organizations in the Greenwood Community including the Greenwood Lion’s Club, Habitat for Humanity, Greenwood Housing Authority, Greenwood Touchdown Club, Anderson College Alumni Association, Greenwood County Bar Association; South Carolina Bar, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Away from the office, Mr. Moore has many interests, which include jogging, cooking, gardening, golf and music.

Judge Moore is the son of Justice and Mrs. James E. Moore of Greenwood, South Carolina. He is married to Alison Miller Moore and they have four children.
