Calhoun Building Renovations and
Change in Street Address for the Calhoun Building

The South Carolina Judicial Department is delighted to announce that the renovations at the Calhoun Building have reached a stage which permits the clerk's office of the South Carolina Court of Appeals to return to the Calhoun Building.  Therefore, effective April 1, 2015, all filings with the Court of Appeals will be made on the ground level of the Calhoun Building.

On April 1, 2015, the public entrance to the Calhoun Building will move to the Senate Street side of the building.  The new entrance is located on the ground level beneath the steps, and provides access for persons with disabilities.  Further, the Calhoun Building is the oldest State Office Building and originally had a Senate Street address.  In recognition of this history and the change in location of the entrance, the street address for all the offices in the Calhoun Building will change to 1220 Senate Street.
