South Carolina's E-Filing Portal Go Live & AIS Registration

The South Carolina Judicial Department is pleased to announce the go live of electronic filing for the first pilot county. Beginning Wednesday, December 9, 2015 attorneys will be able to electronically file court documents in the court of Common Pleas for Clarendon County.

In order to provide attorneys with important resources, in advance of the go live date, the E-Filing Portal is now available. A link to the portal can be found in the Quick Links section of the home page.

The E-Filing Portal contains links to important training and reference materials for attorneys including Computer-Based Training Videos, Attorney Reference Guides, Online Webinars, the E-Filing Policies and Guidelines, Frequently Asked Questions and Important Announcements concerning the E-Filing System.

Attorneys can now register as E-Filers using the Attorney Information System (AIS). To register:

  • Sign on to AIS
  • Click the E-Filing tab
  • Read and accept the Terms and Conditions

Once attorneys register for E-Filing, they will receive electronic service and electronic notices in all cases in E-Filing pilot counties where they are counsel of record, even if they have not yet e-filed in that case.
