Re: Juvenile Forms in Family Court
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
I find that Section 67, Proviso 67.14 of the 2019-2020 General Appropriations Act, directed the Department of Juvenile Justice to use funds to implement Act No. 268 of 2016. As a result, effective July 1, 2019, Act No. 268 amends the jurisdiction of the Family Court by raising the age of a Juvenile from a person less than seventeen years of age to a person less than eighteen years of age. This amendment necessitates the revision of all affected Juvenile forms. Therefore, pursuant to the provisions of Article V, Section 4 of the South Carolina Constitution,
IT IS ORDERED, all Juvenile forms including but not limited to the incorporated list attached to this order are amended to reflect the jurisdictional age changes for all new cases, effective July 1, 2019. The forms, bearing a revision date of (07/2019), shall supersede all previous versions of these forms. The amended forms will be available on the South Carolina Judicial Branch Website at www.sccourts.org/forms.
