Judge Randall E. McGee (Randy) was born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1965 where he lived until 1992. 

He attended public schools in Columbia and graduated from Dreher High School in 1983.  He then attended the University of South Carolina, receiving a B.A. degree in political science in 1987.

Randy received his law degree from the USC School of Law in 1991.

After law school, Randy relocated to St. Matthews, South Carolina to begin his legal career as an associate in the law firm of Felder & Prickett.  In 1997, he became a full partner in the firm (later known as Felder & McGee).  His practice consisted of a general practice with an emphasis on family law, criminal defense, personal injury, and real estate.  He also served as legal counsel to several local towns and municipalities as well as to Calhoun Academy, a local independent school, where he also served on the Board of Directors for many years.  He was a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association Athletic Committee for three years.  He also is a past member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

He has been a member of First Baptist Church in St. Matthews for many years and has served as a youth director, chairman of deacons, deacon, finance committee member, youth committee member, and Sunday School teacher.

Randy has been a member of the First Circuit Public Defender Selection Committee, the Family Law Council of the South Carolina Bar, and the Calhoun County Public Defender Board.  He also has been a member of both the Orangeburg and Calhoun County Bar Associations.  He was a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice.

He is licensed to practice in all state courts, as well as the federal district court and United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Randy is married and has three (3) children.

Judge McGee loves sports and music. He coached Dixie Youth Baseball for ten years and one (1) year of B-team basketball at Calhoun Academy.  He faithfully followed his children’s activities, including baseball, basketball, football, golf, dance, music and gymnastics.  He also plays guitar and golf on a regular basis.

Judge McGee was elected to the Family Court on January 30, 2013 by the South Carolina General Assembly.  He holds Seat Five, At-Large for the Family Court bench.
