APPEAL DISMISSED

Appellate Defender Aileen P. Clare, of Columbia, for Appellant.

Attorney General Henry Dargan McMaster, Chief Deputy Attorney General John W. McIntosh, Assistant Deputy Attorney General Salley W. Elliott, all of Columbia; and Solicitor I. McDuffie Stone, III, of Beaufort, for Respondent.

PER CURIAM:  Vernin Green appeals his conviction and sentence for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.  Green contends the trial court erred by denying his directed verdict motion.  After a thorough review of the record, and counsel’s brief pursuant to Anders v.
