JT Foster, Probate Judge for Anderson County, was born in Anderson County in 1984. Judge Foster graduated from Belton Honea Path High School in 2003 and received his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Tri-County Technical College. While employed as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Anderson University before completing his Master’s Degree from the Command College of South Carolina. 
During Judge Foster’s 16-year tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he worked as a Uniform Patrol Deputy, Narcotics Investigator, Pro-Active Patrol Supervisor, and finished his career as the Spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office.  In March 2022, he was presented with the David L. Crenshaw Alumnus of the Year Award from Anderson University. 
In June 2022, Judge Foster won the nomination for the Anderson County Probate Judge, was elected without opposition in November 2022, and was sworn into office on January 3, 2023.  
Judge Foster is married and a father of three children.
