Judge Reneka McCoy

Judge Reneka McCoy is a native of Bennettsville, South Carolina, born in 1981. Judge McCoy is a 2000 graduate of Marlboro County High School in Bennettsville, SC. Judge McCoy received an AA degree from Northeastern Technical College (Cheraw, SC), Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Management, and will be completing her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management in July 2023. Judge McCoy is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).  Judge McCoy worked for the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office for 12 years. Judge McCoy additionally worked as an Administrative Assistant with General Sessions prior to being assigned as the Pre-Trial Intervention Director serving all four counties within the Fourth Circuit. Judge McCoy won the Primary Election in June of 2022. After not having to participate in a run-off, her name was placed on the ballot for the General Election in November of 2022, Judge Reneka McCoy was sworn in as Marlboro County Probate Judge by her father the Honorable Grover McQueen, Jr., Magistrate/Municipal Court Judge of Marlboro County on January 2, 2023. Judge McCoy is a member of the NAACP.

Judge McCoy and her husband have three children, and became grandparents in December of 2022.
