In efforts to conserve water usage, the City of Columbia has issued a water conservation advisory. At the direction of Chief Justice Jean Toal, employees in the Supreme Court and the John C. Calhoun buildings are excused to leave work unless their job function is essential to Court operations. Supervisors may begin staggering the dismissal of employees at 11:00.

SCJD Employees Report as Normal on Thursday, October 8, 2015

At the direction of Chief Justice Jean Toal, SCJD employees working in the Supreme Court and John C. Calhoun buildings shall report as normal on Thursday, October 8, 2015. All employees are encouraged to use discretion and view road conditions on the SCDOT website to identify road closings before driving. Employees should communicate to their appropriate supervisor any problems or delays affecting attendance and their attendance will be excused.
