MEMORANDUM

Due to the forecasted ice and snow throughout parts of South Carolina, I am directing that all courtroom proceedings in state, county, and municipal courts follow the directives of county or municipal government officials.  Regarding bond hearings and court closures due to inclement weather, a minimum of one bond hearing daily should be conducted, if at all possible.

All county and municipal employees working within the court system shall follow the winter weather hazard decisions made by the respective county or municipal government officials in regards to office delays or closings on Friday, January 22, 2016.

All state judicial employees shall follow the winter weather hazard decisions made by county government officials in regards to office delays or closings on Friday, January 22, 2016.  Please refer to the State Emergency Management Division website, www.scemd.org/closings, for the status of state government offices for each county.
