Investiture Ceremony for the Honorable John Williamson Kittredge

On June 18, 2008, in a special ceremony held in the Supreme Court Courtroom, the Honorable John Willliamson Kittredge was sworn in as a Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Pastor Richard Gibbons, Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, delivered the invocation. United States Ambassador to Canada, the Honorable David W. Wilkins delivered remarks. The Honorable Karl B. Allen of the South Carolina House of Representatives presented Judge Kittredge to the Court.

Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal administered the Oath of Office as Lila Kittredge, Justice Kittredge's wife, held the Bible. Sons, Will & Zay Kittredge, held the Judge's robe. The Benediction was delivered by The Reverend Charles D. "Pete" Cooper (retired), St. John's Episcopal Church, of Florence, South Carolina.

The investiture was broadcast on the internet via live streaming video and has been archived for later viewing thanks to the efforts of S.C. Educational Television.
