Death of Ben Franklin McCall

It is with sadness and regret that the Justices and staff of the Supreme Court of South Carolina acknowledge the death of Ben Franklin McCall.   Mr. McCall served the Supreme Court for many years as its faithful and loyal volunteer bailiff, attending sessions of the Supreme Court under twelve Chief Justices and four Clerks of Court. Mr. McCall, who died at the age of 90 on Thursday, January 7, 2010, is survived by Recia Tillman McCall, his devoted wife of over 66 years.  Visitation with the family will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, South Carolina. The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at The Church of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1632 Germany Street, Columbia, South Carolina.
