Re: Dorchester County Acting Master-in-Equity Appointment
ORDER
Pursuant to the provisions of S.C. CONST. Art. V, §4,
IT IS ORDERED that Effective 12:01 a.m., January 1, 2011, upon the retirement of the Honorable Patrick R. Watts, the Honorable Diane Schafer Goodstein is hereby appointed to fulfill the duties of the Dorchester County Master-in-Equity in addition to her duties as resident Circuit Judge for the First Judicial Circuit. Judge Goodstein will serve as the Acting Dorchester County Master-in-Equity until a Master-in-Equity has been appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the General Assembly and assumes the duties of that office, or until further Order of this Court, whichever shall first occur.
As Acting Master-in-Equity, Judge Goodstein shall have all rights, powers, duties and responsibilities of masters-in-equity pursuant to the laws of South Carolina.
