Judge J. Michael Baxley will be conducting a status hearing on the South Carolina Department of Mental Health competency and criminal responsibility evaluations on June 11, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at the Richland County Courthouse in Courtroom 3B. This hearing has been scheduled to discuss and evaluate the progress of the Department of Mental Health and its efforts to improve the forensic evaluation process. This will be a public hearing and interested individuals will be given an opportunity to speak. Your attendance at the hearing will be helpful to the Court in determining what future steps are necessary to improve the DMH evaluation process.
