GREENVILLE ATTORNEY DANIEL B. WHITE TO LEAD SOUTH CAROLINA BAR

Photo of Attorney Daniel WhiteGreenville attorney Daniel B. White was installed as the 2005-2006 president of the South Carolina Bar on Friday, May 13, during the Bar's House of Delegates meeting at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville.

White is a shareholder in the Greenville law firm of Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A., practicing in the areas of products liability and commercial litigation. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1976. Since then, he has served in a number of positions on the Bar's Board of Governors and in the House of Delegates, including Bar treasurer and chairman of the House of Delegates. He is listed in Who's Who in America and Best Lawyers in America. White is also a member of the American Bar Association and Greenville County Bar Association.

He served a president of the Greenville Young Lawyers Club in 1981. Other memberships include the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association, Judicial Conference of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline (1988-91). The South Carolina Bar, which has a membership of more than 11,500 lawyers, is dedicated to advancing justice, professionalism and understanding of the law.
