Lexington County Judicial Center Dedicated
as the Marc H. Westbrook Lexington County Judicial Center
On Sunday, April 30, 2006, Lexington County's Judicial Center was rededicated and named in honor and memory of Judge Marc H. Westbrook. Judge Westbrook played a key role in the planning and construction of the county's new Judicial Center.
Several hundred people attended the afternoon ceremony honoring Judge Westbrook's many contributions to his community. As part of the ceremony, a portrait of Judge Westbrook was unveiled; the portrait will hang in the courtroom that bears his name. A University of South Carolina School of Law scholarship has been created in Judge Westbrook's name as well.
Judge Westbrook and his law clerk, Randall Davis, Jr. died in an automobile accident on September 14, 2005. The ceremony also included the dedication of a maple tree to Randall Davis and a fountain dedicated to honor Judge Westbrook and Randall Davis.
