ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER

Pursuant to the provisions of S.C. Const. Art. V § 4,

IT IS ORDERED that Form SCCA/217, General Sessions Sentence Sheet, bearing a revision date of 11/2009, is approved for use in the Circuit Courts of South Carolina and replaces SCCA 217, bearing a revision date of 06/2009.

The form has been amended to include yes/no indicator boxes for whether a defendant holds a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), whether the defendant was driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) at the time of the violation, and whether the defendant was hauling hazardous materials at the time of the violation (HazMat).  These indicators have been added to meet requirements set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association.  The solicitor’s office should provide the appropriate information to the Court to ensure that these indicator boxes are accurately completed on the Sentence Sheet.
