For the Probate Court, individuals will need to come to the receptionist’s window for assistance and information. Individuals are urged to contact the Probate Court by phone, email, mail or fax for information about requesting a marriage certificate, obtaining a marriage license, opening an estate, filing a small estate affidavit, or any other business of the Court. There are no in-person appointments to open estates or file small estate affidavits. Filings and payments can be made at the receptionist’s window, by mail or by using the drop box located in front of the Chesterfield County Judicial Center. Acceptance of Filings and Payments: Chesterfield County Magistrate Court is now open. All offices are open to the public with guidelines of Mask and only 4 people at a time. We are having bench trials only at this time.

All Criminal, Traffic and Jury Trials and Preliminary Hearings are postponed. All persons will be notified by US mail of their new court dates. Acceptance of Filings and Payments: The Circuit Court (General Sessions, Common Pleas, Master-in-Equity) are located at 3 W Keitt Street Manning, South Carolina in the Clarendon County Courthouse, not the County Administration Building at 411 Sunset Drive. The Family Court is located at 10 S Mill Street, Manning, South Carolina. We are not completely open to the public. We still have a limit of no more 10 individuals at a time. We have three (3) security offices for the courthouse thru the county Sheriff Department and two (2) security offices from a private firm for the Family Court. We are requiring mask for entrance and per the order of the SC Supreme Court, we are taking the temperatures of people coming into our lobby area.

Lamar Municipal Court is held on the third Monday of the month. Access to the Town Hall is only available on court days which causes limited access. Fines can be paid online at Lamarsc.org or a money order can be mailed to the Town Hall. Appointments can be made by calling (843) 326-5551 to set up payments or to pay in person.
