Re: Revised Orders of Commitment in General Sessions and Family Court
ORDER
Pursuant to the provisions of Article V, Section 4 of the South Carolina Constitution, the following General Sessions and Family Court forms, bearing a revision date of (6/2022) are hereby amended effective June 10, 2022.
- SCCA221B- General Sessions Order of Commitment
- SCCA487B- Family Court Order of Commitment
The General Sessions and Family Court Orders of Commitment (SCCA221B and SCCA487B) have been amended to modify language from “hospitalization” to “restoration treatment,” extend the length of time for restoration treatment from sixty days to one hundred eighty days, and include language for the requirement of the solicitor to initiate judicial admission proceedings within fourteen days.
