4145 - Windham v. Riddle

This case involves the issue of whether an easement is appurtenant or in gross.

4146 - Commander Health Care Facilities v. DHEC

In this declaratory judgment action, Commander Healthcare Facilities, Inc. appeals from the circuit court's grant of summary judgment in favor of the South Carolina Department of Environmental Control and Heritage Home of Florence. We affirm.

8-14-2006 - Opinions

4147 - Avery v. Avery

In this cross-appeal Wife argues she is entitled to alimony, a larger portionof the marital estate, and attorney's fees. She also argues the family court's valuation of her jewlry and mink coat was inflated. Husband argues the family court erred in identifying which accounts belonged in the marital estate.

4148 - Metts v. Mims

In this cross appeal stemming from a libel action, Metts the circuit court erred in granting Newspaper summary judgment. Additionally, Newspaper appeals from an order requiring it to produce financial information, and Metts appeals from an order declinng to impose sanctions on Newspaper after it refused to comply with the the discovery order.

4149 - Guider v. Churpeyes

In this action for malicious prosecution and abuse of process, Churpeyes (Church's) appeals a jury verdict in favor of Guider. Church's alleges the trial court erred in denying its directed verdict motions, admitting testimony from Guider's coworker, instructing the jury on punitive damages and breach of trust with fraudulent intent, and failing to deny or reduce actual and punitive damages.
