Announces Spring 2008 Public Hearings
The South Carolina Access to Justice Commission will hold seven regional public hearings at county courthouses beginning in March and culminating in a final hearing in the fall at the South Carolina Supreme Court. The purpose of the hearings is to explore and document the difficulties that people with low income or modest means face in pursuing legal remedies through the civil justice system.
Each hearing will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. The hearing dates and locations are as follows:
March 13: | Charleston |
March 27: | Lexington |
April 10: | Colleton |
April 17: | Anderson |
May 29: | Lancaster |
June 5: | Florence |
June 26: | Spartanburg |
